May 2005 - New videos!

New video content has been added to the website following a recording made during the recent Bull & Gate gig. Two of the bands new songs are featured: "My Truth, Your Truth" and "Body & Spirit".

April 2005

We are now seeking to recruit a replacement drummer and bass player as Dean has now left the group due to an ongoing illness. We are currently working on new material and holding auditions. If you would be interested in joining the band, contact us through the website.

February 2005

17 Feb - We have received a review from www.atomicduster.com of our "Victories EP"...So why not jump in yer "Mondeo" and check it out! ;) Next...THE STORY in "Razorlight" direction shocker...

16 Feb - The band are sad to announce that Andy Arch has left the group due to personal reasons. We are now looking for a replacement bass player who can also sing backing vocals. If you would like an audition please email us for further info.

Our next show is Sunday 6th February @ THE BULL & GATE, Kentish Town, London. Download a flyer here! Copies of our EP will continue to be available @ this gig.

January 2005 - Forthcoming shows and cd giveaways!

14 Jan - We would like to thank all of you who came to the Sunrooms gig, the £2 cover charge raised £100 towards the Asia Tsunami appeal.

10 Jan - THE STORY are artists of the week at www.unsignedfm.co.uk "Victories" has been added to their playlist.

We would really like to thank those of you who made the effort to come to our show in Chelmsford @ The Box.

We're kicking off in 2005 with a couple of dates in Southend with good friends SUBSCRIBE @ THE MONEYSHOT. First up is a gig at Chinnery's this Friday 7th January. THE STORY are 3rd on the bill below Southend rockers NEON CANDY, should be a good night and only £2 entry.

Next up is an intimate but loud gig (P.A permitting!) upstairs @ THE SUNROOMS. Entry is again £2. Please come down and support us! Don't forget to sign our mailing list and pick up a free cd if you like what you hear.

December 2004 - NEW CHRISTMAS SHOW!

THE STORY will be playing a Christmas Eve show @The Box Club, Chelmsford, Essex. We'll be first on supporting other local acts TRAFFIC TO NOWHERE and THE STUNTS. Get there early for this Xmas Xtravaganza!!

November 2004 - EP is finally completed

The band have just emerged from a gruelling 3 days @ Soundmagic Studio with Steve Tsoi and have now completed their new EP titled "Victories". The song "Victories" is now available for download and streaming from the music page and snippets of the other 4 songs are also available. Take a listen, download and tell us what you think of the material! If you like what you hear please sign our guestbook and join our mailing list, we really need your support! The EP will hopefully be packaged and ready for sale in the new year subject to current financial restrictions...

The Story are currently approaching numerous promoters all over the South East to start a long campaign in the New Year. Look in the gig guide for further updates!
